Dear Friends,
As 2002 drew to a close, we reflected on the
wonderful things God did during the past twelve
months in our city. We can only declare "You
are awesome in this place, Mighty God!"
Yet along with this attitude of praise and thanksgiving,
we are deeply
convinced that 2002 was only the beginning, just
a preview, of what He wants to do in and among
us. And we desire with all our hearts to fully
cooperate with Him!
To this end, we are again asking the Church of
Spokane to come
together in a time of prayer and fasting during
the Lenten Season.
Mission Spokane will observe Forty Days of Prayer
and Fasting from March 5th to April 13th. While
our hope is believers and congregations will be
observing this in whatever way the Lord leads
them, we will also provide several opportunities
for corporate worship and prayer during this time.
Evening
Prayer
One or more churches in the area will
be invited to be open each
evening, to host a prayer gathering with a focus
on the needs of our
city. These meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m. and
end at the discretion
of the hosting congregation.
If your church would enjoy hosting and leading
such a meeting, please call me at 327-2838 or
email cathydonovan@missionspokane.org
Saturday
Morning Prayer
Each Saturday morning, we hope to have
churches in four of the
twenty-four prayer sections open for prayer specifically
geared toward the needs and issues in their neighborhood.
If your church would be willing to host such
a meeting, please call
Dawn at 326-0279 or email rejuvenatedbody@icehouse.net
Prayer
Focus Bulletins
Mission Spokane will make available
prayer focus bulletins which
contain specifically targeted prayers. We will
ask God to fulfill His
original purpose for our city and forgive us where
we as His Body have fallen short of this goal.
We will ask God to cleanse us and prepare us to
become a "City Set on a Hill."
It is our hope that you will prayerfully consider
joining us in
whatever way the Lord leads you as we together
seek the Face of God for our city.
To see the lost found in Him,
Cathy Donovan
